Day 10: Matthew 7

Jesus finishes His teaching on life in this upside-down, alternate, cross-cultural Kingdom of God that He announced was at hand. Judging others, bearing good fruit, building your "house" on the Rock, and doing to others what you want done to you are some of the subjects Jesus addresses.

Finish up the Sermon on the Mount by reading Matthew 7 and journaling your thoughts.

Are you, like the people who heard Jesus' teaching, astonished at His words?  The people were amazed because Jesus' teaching didn't come off as religious and law-driven - it came off as life-giving!

I wonder what the world around us would think if we lived out these teachings? Would Christianity look and feel less religious and more life-giving?
