After being baptized by John and being tempted by the devil, Jesus officially begins His ministry. In today's reading, we see Jesus' opening statement, the calling of the first disciples, and the early stages of His fame spreading across entire regions.

How do you respond when Jesus calls you to drop what you are doing and follow Him?
Does your life proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God?
